About Me

Welcome friends,

I’m Ashley—a homeschool mom, curriculum creator, and lover of books, beauty, and the quiet rhythms that shape a child’s heart. Years ago, when I stepped into homeschooling with two energetic little boys, I quickly realized something: I didn’t just want to “get through” our days. I wanted to build a home atmosphere where wisdom, wonder, and worship naturally took root.

Like many mothers drawn to Charlotte Mason, I longed for a feast of ideas that was both rich and simple, beautiful and doable. I wanted our days to feel connected and steady—not hurried or overwhelmed by expectations. But in the search for those resources, I found myself piecing together bits of curriculum from everywhere, constantly adjusting, printing, rewriting, and trying to make disconnected pieces feel whole.

It was exhausting.
And it wasn’t the homeschool life I dreamed of giving my family.

So I began creating what I desperately needed:

A gentle, open-and-go rhythm rooted in Scripture, literature, nature, poetry, art, and music—something that would serve me as the mother and shepherd, while still honoring the deep principles of a Charlotte Mason education.

That became the very first seeds of Wisdom & Wonder.

A Charlotte Mason Approach,
for Real-Life Homeschool

I believe in education that grows slowly and deeply, like a garden tended with care. Charlotte Mason spoke of “atmosphere, discipline, and life” — and those words have shaped my own teaching more than any book or method.

In our home, education is not something separate from daily life. It flows through morning read-alouds, nature walks, shared prayer, copywork done carefully, poetry recited with joy, the quiet rhythm of routine, and the beauty of God’s world unfolding before us.

But I also understand modern motherhood.
Our lives are full. Our mornings can be busy.
We need resources that honor our values without overwhelming us.

That’s why everything I create has this heartbeat:

  • simple enough to use today

  • beautiful enough to inspire you tomorrow

  • rich enough to nourish your whole home

  • flexible enough for many ages

  • faithful without being heavy-handed

  • rooted in nature, literature, and truth

Homeschool can be both restful and robust. We just need tools that make that possible.

My Why Behind Wisdom & Wonder

My guides, morning time rhythms, and French resources grow out of three deep convictions:

1. Mothers deserve open-and-go support.

You shouldn’t have to curate everything yourself or feel like you’re behind. Your role is to guide and delight—not to spend hours lesson-planning.

2. Children thrive on living ideas.

Stories, Scripture, nature, and beauty shape the moral imagination in ways worksheets never can.

3. Homeschool is a long, slow, beautiful road.

We don’t need perfection. We need peace, presence, and gentle consistency. Everything I create is meant to take you by the hand, simplify your mornings, and help your children grow in wisdom, imagination, and wonder.

If you’re longing for a more peaceful homeschool—one built on beauty, Scripture, slow mornings, and a rhythm you can actually keep—you’re in the right place.

You don’t have to strive for perfection. You don’t need the “ideal” homeschool room. You don’t need to be an expert in every subject.

You just need a gentle path, a few beautiful habits, and resources that support you instead of demand more from you.
